It might sound exciting to some to be shrunk to the Some Of Us Grew Up Listening To The Rolling Stones Band The Cool Ones Still Do Shirts of an insect (ask Ant-Man), but it’s not all sunny on the horizon of an inventor’s children and their friends in Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. Rick Moranis stars as Wayne Szalinski, a typical crazy scientist who spends hours working on mysterious projects in his lab. The day his son and daughter wander inside with two of their friends, they’re unfortunately hit by a beam that shrinks them, and inadvertently thrown in the trash by their father (this whole cleaning up act doesn’t fit with the crazy scientist character, if you ask me). Once outside, the children have to fight their way through a terrifying new world to make their way back to the house, as even flies are now much bigger than them. Of all the non animated Disney movies on this list, this one could probably have been a cartoon as well, considering all the special effects involved. It’s a nightmare if you’re not so comfortable with insects, but it’s obviously also a funny and timeless movie that really fits any kind of audience.

They have decided to release Mulan in a combination of theater where they can and a special premium Disney+ ($30) release. They claim this will be a ‘one-off exception’ as the big money is still in the box office releases. But make no mistake, if this manages to do well enough at recouping their production costs, other movies will likely follow this pattern.So the Widow finding her way onto a paid release via Disney+ is no longer as far fetched as it seemed back in April. But they equally are running out of dates they can push back the release without impacting their own release of other films or directly competing with other block busters at the box office. If their plans with Mulan do well and the theaters don’t reopen by the holidays, it is no longer unrealistic, that either Widow or Soul or even both would be released as a premium pay to view on Disney+.
