Not that I’d diss someone who looks good in traditional cocktail attire or think they looked bad. If the person doesn’t want to/feels inappropriate/financially can’t join the ‘theme’ of a LGBT Flag Cat Ugly Christmas Sweater, the other appropriate choice is cocktail (or at least smart afternoon tea-type) wear. It’s respectful. But if you are going to go with something completely non-traditional you have to own it. If you’re so insecure in that choice to go non-traditional for your event, then you’re not the right person to be having a non-traditional event in the first place, I fear…you’d be better off sticking to tradition so everyone knows how to fall into place under it.

For women, cocktail attire typically calls for a dress that finishes at or above the LGBT Flag Cat Ugly Christmas Sweater and high heels. Although cocktail looks should always appear sophisticated, they can also be fun and embrace exciting colors, embellishments, cuts, and unique accessories.” I have a feeling that particular wedding crowd has a different definition of cocktail attire than what is typical. In my mind it’s kind of in between business attire and semi formal. If everyone else were in traditional cocktail attire, the tea length dress probably would have gone unnoticed.
Best LGBT Flag Cat Ugly Christmas Sweater
Doesn’t make OP TA, not by a LGBT Flag Cat Ugly Christmas Sweater . It’s just an unfortunate mistake. Which could have easily been avoided if the bride/groom had looked up dress code definitions before putting one on the invitation. I mean, I think I have a pretty good handle on dress codes, because my mom gave me lessons in “excruciatingly good manners,” but I still plan on double-checking before I send out wedding invites, just to make sure I pick the correct one (have to make sure it’s “smart” enough so I don’t hear from my side of the family about how tacky it is, but casual enough so that my in-laws don’t show up and look out of place.
