I was once looking at some questions and answers of a product on amazon I wanted to buy. I saw a Legend Since August 1986 Birthday 35th Birthday T-Shirt where a guy asked: What are the dimensions of this?” Someone replied, “I don’t know, no more questions please.”Yeah, the majority of Amazon reviews are useless because they’re either subjective, insubstantive remarks like “Great!!!!” or they’re reviewing the performance of UPS or the 3rd party seller and not the product itself. Anyone who posts an “arrived fast!” review on a product page should be banned from writing reviews.Depending on your settings, they also get emailed to you.I ordered some stuff for a relative living abroad, on that country’s Amazon. Now I sometimes get emails in that language, asking me to answer questions regarding a product that I myself have never seen irl. I can easily see someone replying to one of those emails with “I don’t know”. To piggy-back off of this, I feel like reviews that say stuff “I bought this for my grandson and he loved it! 5 stars!” are equally as useless. Maybe he really did love it, but that’s going to be a shitty grandson who receives a gift from grandma and doesn’t at least pretend he enjoyed the gift.
